Privacy Policy

AURA FUEL collects information you provide, including your account email, body and goal settings, food preferences, meals, coach messages, support messages, and subscription status. We use it to operate your account, calculate nutrition targets, restore your history, provide meal tools and coaching, prevent abuse, and support the service. We do not sell personal information or use health data for advertising.

Apple Health access is optional and begins only after you choose to connect it and respond to Apple's HealthKit permission sheet. With the permissions you grant, the app reads available fitness, sleep, heart, body, and activity information on your device and uploads daily summaries to AURA FUEL so it can personalize wellness features. We do not receive data for categories you deny. Disconnecting Apple Health in AURA FUEL removes its server records; HealthKit permissions are controlled separately in iOS Settings.

Connecting WHOOP is optional. If you connect it, WHOOP sends AURA FUEL the account identity, authorization tokens, and available provider-native recovery, sleep, activity, workout, and body evidence covered by your authorization. AURA FUEL may use that evidence to calculate Body Readiness and other wellness features. Tokens and provider payloads stay on our server and are used to sync the wearable features you requested. You can disconnect WHOOP in the app.

AI-assisted features are optional and require a separate in-app choice. When you enable and use AI Coach, meal ideas, text estimates, or photo estimates, AURA FUEL may send only the information needed for that request to Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or Groq. Depending on the feature, that may include your prompt or food photo, relevant meals, nutrition goals and preferences, selected wearable summaries, and supplement entries. You can disable AI processing in the app. Features that do not require AI remain available subject to your subscription.

AI Coach can keep sparse, durable memory from facts you explicitly state, such as a food preference, recurring training routine, or current-day hunger and soreness. This compact memory is separate from Coach message history and is used only to make later coaching more consistent. You can review it, correct it, ask Coach to forget an item, or clear it through Coach memory controls. AURA FUEL does not scan or backfill older Coach transcripts into memory. Medication details, inferred diagnoses, passwords, payment information, secrets, uncertain statements, and high-risk messages are excluded from Coach memory.

Nutrition Insights uses your logged meals, saved goals, food-item evidence, and sleep-anchored AURA FUEL day to create deterministic daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Reports may include calories, macros, fiber, and micronutrients only when the underlying logging and nutrient-source coverage is sufficient. Missing or low-confidence food evidence is shown as incomplete rather than treated as zero. These reports are stored with your account so you can review their history across devices.

Notifications are optional. If you enable them, AURA FUEL stores an encrypted Apple push token, a non-reversible token hash, your time zone, and your report and reminder preferences so it can schedule the alerts you request. Lock-screen notifications use generic wording by default and open the corresponding in-app report after authentication. You can change the schedule, disable individual notification types, hide detailed preview text, or turn notifications off in the app or iOS Settings. Disabling notifications does not delete your reports or prevent meal logging.

Food and nutrition-label photos are sent inline to Google Gemini or Groq only when you choose a photo tool. AURA FUEL does not write the raw photo to its database or file storage; it keeps the returned estimate and detected food items only if you choose to log or save them. Prompts, photos, context, and responses may be processed transiently to produce the requested result and are subject to the applicable provider's service security and retention controls. Do not submit images containing people, private documents, or information unrelated to food.

We use Supabase for authentication and user-scoped database storage, Vercel to host and operate the API, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, and Groq for AI requests you enable, RevenueCat to verify Apple subscriptions, WHOOP for wearable data you authorize, and USDA FoodData Central to match foods with nutrient references. USDA requests use food descriptions and portion information rather than your account identity. Apple processes App Store payments and HealthKit permissions under Apple's own terms.

Account, meal, goal, coach message, sparse Coach memory, nutrition report, notification preference and device-token, wearable summary, preference, AI-consent, and subscription records are retained while your account is active so features and history work across sessions and devices. To restore current app state and troubleshoot account issues, AURA FUEL also keeps one current account-linked snapshot that includes the feature action that triggered the sync, app and iOS versions, locale, and time zone. Hosting and authentication providers retain request logs that can include IP address, country-level location, user agent, request path, status, and timing for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Short-lived request data is kept only as needed to process and secure a request. Operational logs and backup copies may remain temporarily for security, reliability, legal, and disaster-recovery purposes and are removed as the applicable provider retention cycle completes.

You may decline optional HealthKit, WHOOP, camera, photo-library, and AI processing and continue using features that do not require them. You can delete your account in the iOS app under Account. Deletion removes active app-owned account data and asks supported connected services to revoke or remove their AURA FUEL records. If connected-service cleanup cannot finish immediately, AURA FUEL keeps only a minimal encrypted deletion record and retries automatically until cleanup succeeds, then removes that record. Limited billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, security-log, or backup records may remain where legally or operationally required. Deleting AURA FUEL does not cancel an Apple subscription.

We do not sell personal information, use health data for advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. We disclose only the information needed for the functions described above. For privacy questions or an access, correction, or deletion request, email support@aurafuel.app.

AURA FUEL is general wellness software, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The service is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change and will post the revised date here.
